The officers found Plaintiff's assailant outside with a bag of Plaintiff's belongings, and allowed the assailant to re-enter Plaintiff's home. The officers then arrested Plaintiff based on false allegations. The officers tightly handcuffed Plaintiff and took him to the station. Plaintiff repeatedly complained that his handcuffs were too tight, but the officers refused to loosen them. Plaintiff remained in tight custody while he was transported to booking. The officers falsely accused Plaintiff of acting in concert with his assailant and falsely stated a gun was found in Plaintiff's pocket. As a result of these false allegations, Plaintiff was criminally prosecuted.
