Around 8:00 pm, Plaintiff observed members of the NYPD assault two protesters, but he did not interfere.  As Plaintiff was observing from a distance,  NYPD Sergeant Bilal Ates approached Plaintiff and assaulted him without warning, body-slamming him and causing his head and right shoulder to hit the ground.  Defendant Does 2-4 then rushed at Plaintiff and joined in pushing him to the ground.  Defendant Ates, Warfield, and Does 2-4 caused the following injuries to Plaintiff:   back injury and pain; head injuries, including a laceration to his right temple, a black and swollen right eye, and a concussion; and lacerations to his shoulder and left hand.  Plaintiff was subsequently held in custody and denied medical attention despite the fact that he repeatedly asked for medical attention and was bleeding from a head wound.
