Te Plaintiff had a very small amount, and gave some to the undercover PO. The officer tried to give the Plaintiff money, to which the Plaintiff refused to accept. 10 minutes later, a group of POs entered the restaurant and arrested the Plaintiff. The undercover PO falsely claimed the Plaintiff sold cocaine to him in exchange for $40. At the 72nd Precinct, PO Rodriguez searched the Plaintiff and found only a small amount of cocaine and money (none that included the $40 the undercover PO claimed he paid). Then Sgt. Gatto authorized Det. Greiner and Det. Morales to perform a strip search of the Plaintiff. They made him squat and cough while completely naked. The Plaintiff had nothing hidden on his body. Regardless, the Plaintiff was charged with the selling of cocaine, based on fabricated information provided by the Defendants. On May 8, 2019, the Plaintiff resolved his prosecution by pleading guilty to violation of disorderly conduct.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.473938/gov.uscourts.nyed.473938.21.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/61651051/olivan-v-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Rios, Carlos vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2018-12-31","disposition_date":"2021-04-16","payout_amount":32500,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"525732/2018","court":"Supreme Court - Kings","officer_name":"Rodriguez, Richard D.","summary":"On September 27, 2017, Detective Richard Rodriguez and Officer John Doe #1-2 (defendants) unlawfully seized and searched the Carlos Rios (plaintiff) without consent, a warrant, probable cause, or reasonable suspicion. \n\nThe defendants were in plainclothes and exited an unmarked minivan with guns drawn which prompted the plaintiff to run away in fear during which he tripped and fell.
