Plaintiff was also subjected to an unlawful strip search in the precinct bathroom. Plaintiff made several requests for medical attention due to a recent unrelated gunshot wound on his abdomen that contained stitches. Plaintiff was then transported to Central Bookings, where he was again denied medical attention, and defendant police officers falsely stated that plaintiff was engaged in criminal possession of a fire arm. Defendant officers provided the DA's office with false, misleading and/or incomplete information that Plaintiff committed a crime. After 48 hours at Central Bookings, plaintiff appeared in criminal court and was charged, and later remanded to Rikers Island Correctional Facility, where he was again denied medical attention before being released approximately six (6) days later. Personal items taken from plaintiff during processing at precinct, including $1200 cash, ID, and cell phone, were never returned. Plaintiff's gunshot wound became severely infected after being in custody, and he was treated directly after at St. Barnabas hospital.
