The school's administrators objected, but the NYPD officers persisted. When J.L.B. arrived at the office, the defendant NYPD officers illegally interrogated him outside of the presence of his mother. During the interrogation, the defendant officers falsely accused J.L.B. of having been involved in a schoolyard fight. The defendant NYPD officers then told him that he was under arrest. At some point, they did point their guns directly at his face and head. Shortly thereafter, the defendant NYPD officers walked J.L.B. out of the school, in full view of others at the school, and put him in the back of a police vehicle and drove him to the 83rd precinct. \n\nJ.L.B. was held at the Precinct for nearly 14 hours, during which time he was not allowed to contact his mother. PO Forman knowingly transmitted false and/or incomplete information to the Kings County DA's Office. At about 1 p.m. on January 7, 2024, the NYPD officers brought J.L.B. to a juvenile detention center for several hours and finally to Central Booking for arraignment, where he was charged with robbery in the second degree. He entered a plea of not guilty and was released on his own recognizance. Shortly thereafter, the charges were transferred to Kings County Family Court for a juvenile delinquency proceeding and dismissed and sealed on March 16, 2023. Officers arrived at Plaintiff house, and Plaintiff refused to go outside or let them inside. Irritated, the Individual Defendants proceeded to enter through a neighbor's home, jump the fence, and break in through Plaintiff's kitchen. The officers had no lawful authority to enter the home - neither a warrant nor exigent circumstances existed at the time of entry. Several of the Individual Defendants entered the first floor of the home with their guns drawn and proceeded upstairs. Officers immediately placed Plaintiff under arrest. \n\nAt the same time, the remaining officers entered a second bedroom next to Plaintiff's, where the friends were hanging out. Plaintiff's dog was also in the second bedroom. Immediately after entering the second room, one or more of the individual Defendants shot and killed PLaintiff's dog without justification. Plaintiff, cuffed in the room next door, heard the shot and the dog's cries of pain. One of the officers, likely Officer Forman, told Plaintiff during transport back to the precinct that his dog attacked one of the officers, but this was a lie, or false information passed on from the officer who pulled the trigger.
