Complaint
Description: On January 9, 2021, Plaintiffs’ home was broken into by several police officers unlawfully, claiming to search for guns. Plaintiff Nicole arrived home later to find police occupying their apartment and asked for a warrant, but no warrant was shown to her. The officers damaged the front door and bedroom doors. Plaintiff Nicole was handcuffed while they searched the place. Plaintiff Shaundell arrived home later. Upon arriving home, the officers took Shaundell from his vehicle, and escorted him to the apartment, and handcuffed him to a chair, along with his relatives including Nicole. The officers seized a broken embosser from the closet of plaintiff Shaundell’s bedroom.
