Description: On October 27, 2020, Plaintiffs Olivia Wanebo and John Acosta attended a protest against police brutality in Kings County. Plaintiff Acosta was filming the officers stationed at the protest and witnessed an unnamed officer use their bicycle as a weapon against another protestor. Description: On September 2, 2012, plaintiffs Luis Ortega, Alba Cuevas, Ana Gregorio, Evelyn Lugo, George Lugo, Edwin Avellanet, and Crystal Cruz were gathered at the home of Evelyn Lugo to celebrate Labor Day. Avellanet stepped outside to throw out a bag of garbage and was stopped and questioned by officers Charles Drobness and Ralph Conde, despite not committing a crime. The officers requested Avallenet's ID, and he refused after the officers refused to say why they needed it.
