Description: On March 4, 2014, PO Vanderpool and officers John Does 1-3 falsely arrested Plaintiff and made false allegations to him to the DA’s Office. The arrest took place on the rooftop of a NYCHA residence, where Plaintiff lived with his wife and mother. Plaintiff, who lived on the top floor of the building, went up to the rooftop after his mother had complained of noise coming from above the apartment. On the roof, Plaintiff encountered PO Vanderpool and officers John Does 1-3. He showed them his ID, which showed that he lived at the address. PO Vanderpool searched and frisked Plaintiff without legal basis. Plaintiff was falsely arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. The officers created false evidence and pr...
