Description: On November 20, 2013, LaToya Orr was wrongfully arrested by officers without cause, charged with petit larceny and criminal trespass in the third degree, despite not having committed any offense. The arrest occurred after an incident at a bar, where after a misunderstanding regarding their orders, Orr and her friends were asked to leave. Immediately upon exiting, they were forcibly detained by the officers, subjected to an illegal search, and taken to the NYPD-6th Precinct. Orr experienced physical and verbal abuse, was inappropriately searched, and sustained injuries due to excessive force.
