Description: On December 22nd, 2011, Plaintiff observed a civilian lawfully interfere in the baseless search and seizure of another individual by NYPD officers Robert Morales, Michael Scarano, Demetrio Degregorie, and Lieutent Adrian Sanchez. Plaintiff observed NYPD officers slam that intervening civilian into the ground. Plaintiff tried to record the event, at which point some of the NYPD officers tackled plaintiff, jabbed their elbows into his head, twisted his arms, and handcuffed him extremely tightly. At the precinct, he was falsely charged with obstruction.

Description: On December 22, 2011, on the street, Plaintiff verbally questioned Defendants about their baseless stop and frisk of Plaintiff’s Godson, Justin Tejeda. In response, Defendants, acting together, falsely arrested Plaintiff, threw her down to the ground, pressed a knee into the back of her neck obstructing her breathing, twisted her right arm and wrist, and handcuffed her excessively tight. Defendants then threw Plaintiff into the rear of a police car and shut the door on both of her feet. Plaintiff was taken to the 49th Precinct, where she was searched by Yvonne Vizcarrondo, who grabbed Plaintiff by the cuffs and threw her onto the ground.
