Complaint
Description: On January 1, 2019, plaintiff was driving while intoxicated and decided to pull over and exit his vehicle. While plaintiff stood outside of his vehicle, NYPD officers Rahul Dass and Maribel Sarante threw him to the ground and beat him. The officers removed and covered their body cameras before beating plaintiff. The officers then drove plaintiff to a precinct where he was held until being transported to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. Dass and Sarante made false accusations that plaintiff had acted violently toward them during the arrest. Further, NYPD officer Lateef Stinson falsely accused plaintiff of punching Dass.
