Description: On or about June 10, 2013, Plaintiff was stopped by POs Anastasi Katehis and John Doe while driving a car. POs Katehis alleged a failure to signal, but it appears that the real reason for the stop was the temporary New Jersey tag in Plaintiff’s rear window. Upon demand, Plaintiff produced a New Jersey temporary vehicle registration card, which matched the temporary tag, and an insurance card. However, in a criminal complaint PO Katehis insisted that the plate was forged based upon his “professional training as a police officer in the identification of forged instruments”, and it appears that he willfully ignored any evidence that would stand in the way of his arrest.
