Description: On February 17, 2019, Basel Ottley was driving with Christian Heckstall to meet Brittnay Taylor for breakfast. While waiting at a traffic light on Ralph Avenue and Flatlands Avenue, Ottley dozed off. Heckstall was in the backseat. Heckstall told Ottley that an unknown P.O. broke through the driver’s side window where Ottley was sitting. As a result of the window break, Ottley was injured by the blunt object used to break the glass and the glass itself. Ottley was then violently pulled from the vehicle and assaulted Ottley while he was on the ground and not resisting.
