Description: On July 4, 2012, at about 10:00 p.m., Plaintiff was in the vicinity of Mermaid Avenue and West 19th St. in Brooklyn, New York. Plaintiff observed his friend, Christopher Smith, being arrested by several NYPD Officers. As Plaintiff's friend was being put into the police van, Plaintiff walked in front of the van to cross the street. An officer approached and shoved Plaintiff with both hands, When the Plaintiff asked why he was shoved, the officer twisted Plaintiff's arm roughly behind him and arrested him. Several officers, including Defendants, handcuffed Plaintiff and forced him into a police van.
