Description: On September 5, 2016, around 7:20pm the plaintiffs, Jaire McAllister, Leishau McAllister, Monai McAllister, Jemil Defreitas, Andrew Gordon, Nathaniel Washington, and Katia Lucien were near 505 Utica Avenue in Brooklyn when a group of police officers approached them and began assaulting them. The plaintiffs were handcuffed, thrown into police vans, and transported to the 67th Precinct. At no point were plaintiffs engaged in any unlawful behavior or any behavior that would justify a use of force. The officers at the precinct falsely stated in the arrest paperwork that the plaintiffs engaged in various unlawful behaviors.
