Description: On September 23, 2013, Kent Davis was unlawfully detained, searched, arrested, and prosecuted on the false charge of attempted tampering with physical evidence. Mr. Davis regularly played chess in Fulton Park and had recently completed a game of chess when the defendants entered the park. After one of the officers falsely claimed Mr. Davis had marijuana, he was detained, questioned, searched and arrested, on the false claim that he had destroyed marijuana.
