Description: On February 17, 2013, plaintiffs Mr. Edwin Morales and Ms. Yuriria Angel went shopping with their two children. While Ms. Angel was in a store with one child and Mr. Morales was waiting in his car with their other child, the defendant NYPD officers (including Officers Pedro Rodriguez and Pedro Kai Lee and Sergeants Luis Sariego, Annett Francis, and Joseph Antonio) approached Mr. Morales, berated him, and arrested him. When Ms. Angel came out of the store, one defendant officer verbally abused her, cursed at her, called her derogatory names, hit her in the face, shoved her to the ground, and slammed her head into the ground.
