Description: On December 31, 2016, plaintiffs were gathered for an annual event to celebrate the life of their family member who was shot to death by NYPD in 2003. All plaintiffs either resided at or were visiting the subject premises. After midnight on January 1, 2017, P.O.s Omar Birchwood, Lt. Michael Raimo, and P.O. Jesse Lance knocked on the door under the false guise that they had heard gunshots. The officers insisted that they enter the premises, but plaintiffs demanded a warrant to allow entry. This encounter lasted for more than hour, and the officers didn't allow plaintiffs to close their front door. Description: Plaintiff was falsely arrested twice for criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. The first time plaintiff was waiting for his friend at his friend's house while the defendant officers came into the house, falsely arrested him and brought plaintiff to the 73rd precinct. The second time plaintiff was running back from his home to his friend's house nearby while defendant officers stopped him and falsely accused plaintiff of having a weapon. Both of the cases, the charges were dismissed.

Description: On February 7, 2012, Plaintiffs Shakeem Boykins, Kevin Wint, Princeton Antoine were leaving the Brooklyn apartment of an acquaintance with two younger boys when they were attacked by police officers in civilian clothes and unformed police officers. While there are named officers in the complaint, the causes of action do not specifically identify the officers. At one point, one of the boys was struck with what appeared to be a walkie-talkie. Claims in the complaint are for false arrest and excessive force, among others.
