Complaint
Description: On September 1, 2014, Plaintiff was approached by NYPD Officers Medina and Perez while outside in Brooklyn, New York. The defendant officers told Plaintiff he was seen drinking; Plaintiff replied that he was with his young daughter and not drinking. Defendant officers then threw Plaintiff on the ground, pepper sprayed him, and dragged him on the concrete. Defendant officers Medina, Perez, and Moreno then placed their knees on Plaintiff’s back and twisted his arms behind his back. Defendants searched Plaintiff but did not recover anything. At the precinct, the officers swore they witnessed Plaintiff resisting arrest, acting disorderly, and consuming alcohol. During interrogation, Plaintiff objected to his arrest...
