Description: Defendant Officers approached Plaintiff on the street without provocation and assaulted him before and after handcuffing him, and took him to the 77th precinct, where Defendant Officer Swofford alleged that Plaintiff swung at him. All charges against plaintiff were later dismissed and sealed. A few months later, Defendant Officers Fenton and Burnett ran after Plaintiff, attacked him, handcuffed him, and put him in a chokehold. Plaintiff was brought to the 77th Precinct and charges with various crimes that were later dismissed and sealed.

Description: On July 16, 2013, plaintiff Murray was approached, assaulted, and arrested with excessive force by defendant officers Jason Marshall, Kenton Phillips, Connor Lichte, and Atkinson. Upon information and belief officers Wayne Mims, Sandrina Osborne, and Zakee Smith assisted in falsely arresting plaintiff, refusing to loosen the handcuffs which caused injury, and failing to intervene. Murray was transported to the precinct and was detained there for 6 hours before being transferred to booking. Plaintiff Murray was charged with petit larceny, grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property. All charges were dismissed after having to appear in court 9 times.
