Complaint
Description: Plaintiff was a passenger in a green taxi traveling from Brooklyn to 125th Street in Manhattan. The taxi stopped at 414 West 42nd Street. Plaintiff fell asleep and woke up to a police officer flashing a light in his face. Plaintiff was then ordered out of the vehicle and was told that he would be arrested if he did not pay the taxi fare. Plaintiff immediately paid the fare, but then took out his phone in an attempt to document their badge numbers. Officers then placed him in handcuffs and arrested him for attempted assault.
