The charges against her were acquitted on September 17, 2015. In that span of three years, Plaintiff Maralyn Morson took on enormous legal fees due to the length of the prosecution. On November 29, 2012, Plaintiff Afiya Morsonn was falsely arrested and charged with numerous felonies, including assault, burglary, and robbery. This was due to a complaining witness’s statement in the same building Maralyn Morson was at for her arrest, even though the witness never mentioned that Plaintiff Afiya Morson was a participant in the alleged crime...
