Description: On June 12, 2013, NYPD Officer Brodie—the father of Plaintiff’s child—made a complaint to NYPD Sgt. Ortiz that Plaintiff had threatened him over email. Plaintiff had been emailing with Officer Brodie because he violated the terms of a family court order by not making child support payments. Officer Brodie complained to Plaintiff about having to pay child support. While making his complaint to Sgt. Ortiz, Officer Brodie identified himself as an NYPD officer. On June 12, 2013, NYPD officers—Sgt. Chai, Sgt. Ortiz, and PO Charles—arrived at Plaintiff’s home where she was alone with her child.
