Description: On November 1, 2012, Plaintiffs James Knaust and Anthony Iuzzolino were in line at a gas station pump when Defendant Gerald Prioleau assaulted Iuzzolino. Knaust attempted to break up the fight and Defendant P.O. Erik Contreras of the NYPD ran over to subdue Prioleau. P.O. Contreras fought with and assaulted Defendant Prioleau and restrained him. P.O. Contreras called 911 and reported that Prioleau had assaulted a civilian and assaulted Contreras in the process of being restrained. Description: On July 27, 2013, at approximately 7:25 a.m., Giuseppe Mormone was in the vicinity of his home when he observed several NYPD officers (names unknown), including Police Officer Erik Contreras, in his yard throwing something at his mother's second floor window. Mr. Mormone told the officers that he lived there and asked what they were doing. The officers ignored him, and so Mr. Mormone asked them to leave. The officers again ignored him, and then moved towards him in a threatening manner. Mr. Mormone entered his home and asked his aunt if she knew why the officers were there.
