Complaint
Description: On August 20, 2016, at approximately 1:00 AM, plaintiffs V. Baez, C. Montanez, and J. Lugo were attending a private party at Atlantis Hall at 91-42 Lefferts Boulevard, in Queens, when defendant police officers entered the premises. Defendant police offers told all three plaintiffs that they were under arrest for selling alcohol to minors and arrested the three plaintiffs at the location, when in fact they did not. Plaintiffs C. Montanez and J. Lugo are the parents of four children, who were present at the party. These four children witnessed the arrest of plaintiffs C. Montanez and J. Lugo. Plaintiffs V. Baez, J. Lugo, and C. Montanez each spent approximately 18 hours in custody before the Queens County DA'...
