Description: In December of 2016, the NYPD and EMTs arrived at Ms. Charmaine Davis' home while she was having a mental health crisis. Ms. Davis was admitted to Long Island Jewish Hospital in Queens and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression. Ms. Davis was 17 years old at the time and the primary caretaker for her mother and 9-year-old brother. The three lived in a duplex above Ms. Davis' Uncle, Mr. Shawn Davis. Ms. Davis and Mr. Davis had a strained relationship. On May 1, 2017, Ms. Davis and Mr. Davis got into an argument about finances. Mr. Davis called the police.
