Description: On August 3, 2012, Plaintiff was at her usual place of employment at Lifespire, a facility for adults with development disabilities. Plaintiff is a counselor at the facility. Plaintiff was attacked by a client at Lifespire. The client bit, choked, and scratched her and continued to act dangerously. Plaintiff called the police. When the police arrived, they arrested the client, but Defendant Police Officer McMahon taunted Plaintiff, saying that she was not competent to handle her job. She obtained Defendant McMahon’s badge number. Description: On 12/30/2022, at approximately 6:30pm, plaintiff Alpha Balde, was lawfully in the vicinity of East 141st Street, Cypress Avenue, Bronx, NY, doing nothing illegal or, suspicious or improper when defendant NYPD officers Bernardo Tejada, Ivan Cruz, John Doe and John Roe, absent a warrant, probable cause or any legal justification, approached Plaintiff and stopped, strip searched and detained him in an aggressive manner with excessive force. Plaintiff Balde remained incarcerated for over 24 hours and was required to make numerous court appearances before the charges were favorably terminated against him.
