Complaint
Description: On December 25, 2010, Plaintiff was leaving a party at a club on Empire Blvd., Brooklyn, walking alone on Rogers Ave to his dad's home. A cop car pulled up alongside him. Officer Valdez asked Plaintiff, "Can I talk to you for a minute?", Plaintiff responded "for what" and kept walking. Valdez exited the car and Plaintiff began to run. Other officers caught plaintiff, pushed him onto the floor and searched him but found nothing. Plaintiff was taken to the precinct and accused of being involved in a shooting at club C-Pac that night. Officers had recovered a gun. Plaintiff was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. Bail was set for $1,000. Plaintiff was sent to Rikers Island for 6 days...
