Description: On June 25, 2013, Plaintiff appeared in court on an unrelated criminal matter. While standing in a hallway waiting for his attorney, officers from the 70th Precinct in Brooklyn approached Plaintiff and asked his name. After telling officers his name, Plaintiff was handcuffed, walked outside the court building, and put in an unmarked van for 45 minutes. Plaintiff was transported to the back of the Barclays Center where he waited in the van another half hour, transferred to another van, and brought to the 70th Precinct. At the Precinct, Plaintiff was placed in a detention holding cell for 2 hours without being told why he was charged. Plaintiff was finger-printed, then placed back in the cell for another 4 to 5 h...
