Description: On September 3, 2018, the Plaintiff was outside a building in Brooklyn when Defendant NYPD Officer Reginald Smith, Randy Sanchez, Michael Desposito, and unknown officers began to shout and yell at the Plaintiff from an unmarked vehicle. The Defendants chased the Plaintiff and threw, shoved, and slammed him onto the entryway of a building. They punched the Plaintiff in his face, head, neck, and chest. The Defendants slammed the Plaintiff onto the ground and handcuffed him. After handcuffing the Plaintiff, the Defendants continued to beat the Plaintiff, including by punching, kicking, and holding him face down on the sidewalk with the weight of one of the officer's foot/boot on his back. Description: On August 26, 2018, the Plaintiff was on a phone call while walking, when an unmarked sedan stopped in front of his path. PO Sanchez exited the vehicle wearing plain clothes and told the Plaintiff to approach. There was no visible marking that the Officer or the vehicle was NYPD. Out of fear for his life, the Plaintiff ran away and PO Sanchez started to chase him. PO Herrera, who was also in the car, got out to help PO Sanchez. Complaint
Description: On July 31, 2016, Plaintiff was driving his vehicle in Kings County, New York. NYPD officers pulled Plaintiff’s vehicle over. The officers approached Plaintiff’s window. Plaintiff asked why he was pulled over. Officer Sanchez responded by punching Plaintiff with a close fist several times in the face and head, causing Plaintiff to lose consciousness. The officers placed Plaintiff in handcuffs and formally arrested him. Plaintiff was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. Plaintiff was arraigned on charges resulting from claims he alleges were falsified. Plaintiff acceded to an ACD at arraignment and was released. All charges were dismissed.
