Description: On April 23, 2012, plaintiff encountered a street fight during which someone dropped a gun. Plaintiff picked up the gun to prevent a shooting and walked away to look for a police officer. She looked behind and saw an officer running after her. Plaintiff ran briefly but stopped, dropped to her knees, and put her hands up in the air. The officer handcuffed plaintiff, slammed her face on the ground, and kneed her in the back. Plaintiff suffered a broken tooth, pain to her back, cuts and bruising to her face and head.
