Description: On September 6, 2010, Plaintiff was on his stoop when there was nearby gunfire. Defendant Officer Dustin Edwards arrived shortly thereafter, and despite only finding Plaintiff and his friends hanging out, illegally arrested Plaintiff on weapons charges for a gun that was found some distance away. Plaintiff spent four days on Rikers before making bail. After 18 months and multiple hearings including grand jury appearances, Plaintiff was acquitted at trial despite false testimony from Defendant Edwards.
