$16,000 Settlement
Complaint
Description: On September 17, 2012, Plaintiffs were arrested by Defendants Sgt. Knorr, Sgt. Acri, Det. Rodriguez, Lt. Palmiotto, and other unnamed Defendant Officers. Plaintiffs were taking part in a lawful protest earlier in the day. When Plaintiffs walked past Defendant Officers, one of the Officers asked "are these the three?" Plaintiffs were subsequently handcuffed with plastic zipties and arrested. Sgt. Acri swore to actions the Plaintiffs did not commit and as a result Plaintiffs spent hours in custody. Ultimately all charges were dropped.
