Description: On October 5, 2014, plaintiff was her cousin, who is a disable man in a wheelchair, when Officers Allevato, Peralta and Calhoun approached, stopped and searched plaintiff. No weapon or contraband was found, but she was still taken to the precinct in excessively tight handcuffs. She was there for at least 20 hours, and while there, suffered an asthma attack and was denied medical assistance.
The officers falsely told the DA they had seen her committing various crimes. Plaintiff was taken to central booking and arraigned. All charges were false and later dismissed.
