Description: On September 3, 2015, plaintiff was at his girlfriend's apartment, which police officers forcibly entered early in the morning. Officers handcuffed, pushed, and arrested plaintiff. Plaintiff was transported to the precinct, where he was held in custody and interrogated before being sent to Central Booking. An ADA filed a criminal complaint against plaintiff alleging four drug-related charges, based on false statements by police that contraband was recovered from the apartment. Sergeant Joan Ferreira was the affiant who swore to the complaint falsely alleging such recovery. After arraignment, plaintiff was held in jail for at least a week before the DA declined to seek indictments.

Description: Because of Plaintiff's complaints against police officers and local leaders, Defendant Officers at his local precinct, PSA 5, swore out a false affidavit to obtain a search warrant of his home. Officers then raided Plaintiff's home in riot gear, refused to allow residents to put on proper clothes, and planted cocaine. Plaintiff was then arrested, brought to PSA 5, and charged with 220.50(2) and 220.03. Charges were later dismissed on speedy trial grounds.

Description: On November 5, 2010, plaintiff was leaving a grocery store when he witnessed an assault while crossing the street. Plaintiff began to run and police arrived with guns and told him to stop. Officers Joan Ferrelar, Angel Lujan, and Bryant Zampella handcuffed plaintiff and placed him in a police car. He was brought to the precinct. He was assaulted by another inmate while sleeping and tried to defend himself but officers broke it up. Officers separated plaintiff from the other individual.
