Complaint
Description: On January 11, 2012, Plaintiff was walking on the street when NYPD officers approached, threw her against an NYPD vehicle, and demanded to see identification. The officers then illegally and without cause searched Plaintiff, placed her in tight handcuffs, and began to strike her body, face and head. Plaintiff was taken to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries, including a broken arm. While there Defendant Officer Ryan Foy bragged about breaking her arm and denigrated her transsexual orientation. Plaintiff was held for almost four days before being arraigned on false charges of resisting arrest. All charges were eventually dismissed on July 26, 2013.
