Description: On October 20, 2010, the Plaintiff was wrongfully arrested by the defendants for possession of a firearm. Under pressure from the prosecution and with his attorney's misadvise, the Plaintiff pled guilty. The Plaintiff served 20 months at Rikers and 18 months in state prison. The Plaintiff was again arrested in 2016 for possession of a weapon, and due to prior false convictions, the Plaintiff served 4 years and 10 months of that sentence. The defendants came under scrutiny by the DA for wrongful conduct in multiple cases, including the first conviction of the Plaintiff. On DA's advice, the Plaintiff was exonerated.

Plaintiff Lucas was arrested on September 16, 2014. Defendant NYPD officers prepared false documents claiming Plaintiff Lucas's role in conspiracy murder. When the officers were leaving, Plaintiff tried to take a picture of their license plate and so the driver reversed the car into him, knocking him over. Officers searched him again while he was lying on the ground and then left without calling for an ambulance.
