Description: On September 12, 2013, plaintiff was driving home in Brooklyn. An unmarked police car pulled up behind him after he pulled over to see a friend. Officers got out and demanded his license and registration. After complying, officers demanded he get out of the car. When the plaintiff asked why, the officers reached into the car, opened the door, and pulled the plaintiff out. Without explanation or cause, the plaintiff was searched and handcuffed. Plaintiff was brought into custody and was forced to spend 20 hours in custody.

Description: On March 1, 2013 NYPD Officers unlawfully broke down the door to Plaintiffs' apartment and falsely accused Plaintiffs of possessing an unlicensed firearm. Plaintiff Michelle Bell was handcuffed in the apartment for approximately 3 hours. Plaintiff Joshua Bell-Simon was thrown to the ground where officers pointed rifles at him and one pinned him to the ground with foot. He was arrested at the apartment and transported to the 73rd precinct. After approximately 24 hours in custody, he was released with no charges filed against him. Plaintiff Larvelle Bell was escorted at gun-point to a room where he was kicked to the ground. Larvelle witnessed officers destroying property in the apartment before he was unlawfully ...
