Description: On August 21, 2012, around 11am, Plaintiff was falsely arrested by Defendant NYPD Officers, including but not limited to Police Officer Lucas Huertas, Sergeant Ray Jenkins, and Police Officer Anthony Ahwal. Plaintiff was walking on the street when he was stopped by Defendant NYPD Officers, handcuffed and arrested, and placed in a police vehicle. Defendants did not have probable cause to seize or detain Plaintiff. Plaintiff was taken to the 71st Precinct and detained for about 10 hours, then transported to central booking where he was detained for another 12 hours before arraignment. Description: On November 28, 2012, Plaintiff and his brother had just left home to get sandwiches and were lawfully on the street when several NYPD officers, including Defendant Officer Huertas (first name unknown), stopped Plaintiff without probable cause or reasonable suspicion. Officers asked Plaintiff where he was going and for his identification. Officers then started searching him when Plaintiff informed them that he had a box cutter on his person. One of the officers seized it and told Plaintiff they were going to arrest him for possession of a knife. He was handcuffed, arrested, and taken to a precinct where he was placed into a holding cell.
