Description: On or about June 16, 2016, in the vicinity of Surf Avenue and West 5th Street in Brooklyn, NY, plaintiff was driving with two friends. Plaintiff was pulled over by Police Officer Francis Jackson and L.t. Kautter. These officers falsely told plaintiff that he had two suspended licenses and two warrants. Description: On April 14, 2012, Plaintiff was lawfully on the street when approached by several officers, including Robert Maynard, Colleen Canavan, Juan Guzman, and Salvatore Desiano. The officers stopped Plaintiff without probable cause or reasonable suspicion to believe that he had committed any crimes or offenses. They pushed Plaintiff, punched him in the face, jumped on top of him and tackled him to the ground. Plaintiff was placed under arrest and transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries. At the precinct, the officers falsely informed the DA's Office that they had observed Plaintiff commit crimes and/or offenses. Plaintiff's criminal charges were subsequently adjourned in contemplation of dismissal.
