Description: On January 25th, 2017, around 6:00a.m., the Plaintiffs were present at 23 New Lots Avenue, 6E in Brooklyn, New York. Police officers then broke down the door to the apartment, scaring the Plaintiffs and placing them in handcuffs before searching and ransacking their apartments over the next hour, leading to serious damages. No contraband was found. Despite this, Plaintiffs were arrested by the officers and were transported to the 73rd Precinct in Brooklyn. The police stole cash, a money order, an iPhone, and jewelry from Plaintiffs' apartment. On the way to the precinct, Mariah Vargas (one of the Plaintiffs) complained that her handcuffs were too tight and were causing pain, but the officers did nothing. Plaint...
