Description: On December 19, 2014, NYPD officers, including Detective Laureano Rivera, entered plaintiff's apartment in search of her estranged husband. The officers handcuffed plaintiff and transported her to a precinct. Plaintiff was later transported to the Fifth Precinct, where she was interrogated under false pretenses by an officer posing as her attorney. Plaintiff was charged based on false allegations made by Detective Rivera and Lieutenant Philip Chan. When plaintiff returned to her residence, she found that the officers had confiscated electronic equipment. All charges against plaintiff were dismissed on March 31, 2015.
