Description: On May 27, 2016, Plaintiff was inside a private residence belonging to his girlfriend in Brooklyn, New York. Plaintiff had just arrived at the residence and did not know the other people present, other than his girlfriend. NYPD officers, wearing riot gear, with guns and shields drawn, entered the residence without warning. The officers searched and handcuffed Plaintiff, and then held him down at gunpoint. Plaintiff was taken into custody with the other people present in the home and charged with two counts related to drug possession. Plaintiff was kept in custody for approximately 24 hours. Plaintiff eventually accepted ACD for the charges, maintaining his innocence throughout his court appearances.

Description: Defendant Undercover Officers knocked on Plaintiff's door and claimed someone told them to come there. Plaintiff refused to let them in and they exchanged words. Defendant Officers came back later and knocked in the door with guns drawn, assaulting Plaintiff and his guests, and searching the apartment and destroying property. Officers then handcuffed Plaintiff and his guests, searched their pockets, found a crack pipe in one of the guest's pockets, and took them all to the precinct.
