Description: On February 1, 2012, at the Rockaway Parkway subway station platform, a defendant police officer prevented plaintiff from getting on the train and assaulted the plaintiff by striking and strangling him, causing serious injury, before falsely placing him under arrest for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. At the precinct, the plaintiff asked for medical attention. Defendant officers denied medical treatment and threatened plaintiff with a longer period in custody if he demanded treatment. Plaintiff remained in custody for approximately 32 hours.
