Description: On March 23, 2018 plaintiff was asleep in her home at 4:30 AM. Police knocked on the door and plaintiff's daughter opened the door. Police barged in explaining someone had been shot the floor below them, although no one had heard any shots. Then NYPD officer Chabert brought plaintiff and her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend in for questioning to the police station. Plaintiff and her daughter were allowed to leave the police station after 2 hours but then the daughter's boyfriend was arrested for shooting a gun causing an injury to someone in the floor below it. Description: On September 6, 2013, Plaintiff was arrested in Queens. After 15 hours Plaintiff went before the judicial officer who dismissed the charge of possessing an open container entirely. Immediately thereafter on September 7, 2013, Plaintiff was transferred to the 44th Precinct in the Bronx and Defendant Officers processed and charged the Plaintiff for crimes stemming from a November 28, 2012, incident in the Bronx. As a result Plaintiff spent an additional 55 hours in custody for charges that would later be dismissed.
