Description: On June 8, 2013, Plaintiff (representing a class action) was wrongfully targeted for suspicion of credit card fraud based on his race and/or color as an African American and Black man at Macy's in Herald Square. Plaintiff decided to purchase a designer watch and designer sunglasses, but when he was attempting to make his purchase he was confronted by Defendant NYPD Officer Droesch and two other officers who accused him of using a fake credit card. The officers grabbed Plaintiff's arms and placed him in handcuffs, despite the fact that he denied the allegations and offered to show matching identification.
