Description: On June 9, 2012, Plaintiff and her then three year old daughter entered a courtyard of an apartment building in Manhattan when police officers were arresting a mentally challenged man. Plaintiff and a number of civilians began verbally protesting and videotaping the incident when Defendant Officers began pepper spraying Plaintiff and her daughter, including other civilians. Defendant Officers knocked Plaintiff’s cell phone out of her hand and pushed her, resulting in Plaintiff falling onto a metal fence and aggravating a pre-existing back injury.
