Description: On December 2, 2021, Plaintiff was, without cause or justification, unlawfully arrested by police officers Erik Rodriguez, Milagros Perez, Melanie Paganmerritt, and Daniel Travis. The arrest took place in a bike shop, and the allegation concerned a bike that the Plaintiff had purchased online the same day, which the officers claimed to be stolen. The Plaintiff was placed in overly tight handcuffs and transported to a precinct. Despite the Plaintiff’s continued reiteration that his purchase was legitimate, Plaintiff’s possessions were confiscated, and he was placed in jail.
