Complaint
Description: On August 12, 2019, NYPD officers responded to a 911 call at the Plaintiff's aunt's house. The Plaintiff answered the door and, though the Plaintiff did not match the description given to the police, the Defendant NYPD officers immediately tased the Plaintiff. Defendant NYPD officers G. Perez and J. Callender Shield took the Plaintiff to the hospital in handcuffs. The Plaintiff was not charged with a crime. An unidentified NYPD Sergeant told the Plaintiff, "You are lucky it was only a taser."
