Description: On September 22nd, 2017, Plaintiff Uralice Branch was at her residence relaxing in her bedroom watching a movie when she heard a crash against her front door. Plaintiff ran to the kitchen and watched on her security camera as a team of police try to break down her door with a battering ram. Plaintiff ran to door and yelled for them to stop and that it must be a mistake. Defenfant officers continued until they had broken down the door. They said they were executing a search warrant and forcibly handcuffed Plaintiff Branch, injuring her shoulder.

Description: On December 27, 2016, Defendant NYPD Detective Tearle Connell, Sergeant Rolett Cordero, and Detective Michael Kobus forcibly entered Plaintiff Phyllis Kendall's residence and conducted an illegal search and, without a warrant, forcibly handcuffed, detained, arrested, and imprisoned Plaintiff. Plaintiff was told that she would be released from custody if she provided the location of her son, who was the real target for capture. When Plaintiff failed to assist Defendants, she was kept in custody and issued a Desk Appearance Ticket falsely accusing Plaintiff of possessing controlled substances. On March 19, 2018, all charges against Plaintiff were dismissed.
